PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) -

A Phenix City man was killed early Monday morning after being struck by a minivan.

The victim, 66-year-old Willie Davis, was walking near the intersection of Highway 431 and 3rd Street South across from the Russell Co. Jail when he was hit at about 6:30 a.m.

Davis was pronounced dead shortly after 7 a.m. at the Medical Center. No autopsy is being performed.
