Simply Southern Restaurant Group, the exclusive franchisor of Chicken Salad Chick, recently announced the sale of several franchises in Alabama, Georgia and Florida.

Loyal customers and those who have yet to enjoy the brand will now have the opportunity to experience the popular eatery at one of its 18 franchises.

Alabama franchise locations include Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, Montgomery and Dothan. Other locations will be Columbus and Valdosta, Ga., and Tallahassee, Fla. Additionally, new restaurants are undergoing construction in Tuscaloosa, Montgomery, Columbus, and Tallahassee. 

"We have been enormously blessed with franchisees who share our passion for the Chicken Salad Chick concept and want to grow it in their communities," said Kelley Mossburg, president and CEO of Simply Southern. "By year's end, we will have restaurants not only in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa, but Montgomery, Columbus, Valdosta and Tallahassee."

"We have witnessed increasing customer demand for Chicken Salad Chick since the opening of our first takeout restaurant in 2008," said Chicken Salad Chick Founder Stacy Brown.
