New GSW building named after Rosalynn Carter

AMERICUS, GA (WTVM) - A former first lady helped open a new building at Georgia Southwestern State University named in her honor.

A formal ribbon cutting ceremony was held on the Americus campus Wednesday night for the first phase of the Rosalynn Carter Health and Human Services Complex.

It includes 46-thousand square feet of state-of-the art classroom and clinical space for the school of nursing.

Phase two includes a 35-thousand square foot building that will be home to the Rosalynn Carter Institute of Caregiving.
