COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -
Lace up your running shoes and get ready, set, go for a good cause.

According to Country's website, The Midnight Express started in the 1970s as a handful of people running through the neighborhoods around Cross Country Hill as a way to signal the end of summer. Now, it has grown into an annual 5K road race bringing together more than 2,000 runners nationwide to raise money for the visually impaired.
Running not your thing? Not a problem – there will be live music, vendors, food, cheerleaders and 1,000 of your closest friends to bring in the fall with.
