COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A Columbus woman appeared in Recorders Court on Monday morning accused of trying to hit a police officer with her car.
Jennifer Wright, 28, pled not guilty to several serious charges including assaulting a police officer, and reckless driving.
During testimony, the victim said he had to "dive" out of the way to avoid being hit. He says he began screaming for Wright to stop but she wouldn't.
Police say they chased Wright for several miles until the car broke down near Miles Street.
Her bond has been set at more than $5,000.
