Exclusive Look Ahead to 6 & 11

Good Evening! This is WTVM news anchor Jason Dennis and here's what we are working on for the news at 6 and 11:

Some Muscogee County parents are outraged that their 13-year-old son was placed on house arrest with an ankle bracelet after bringing a knife to school. We have both sides of this story.

Tropical Storm Isaac is no longer a hurricane, but that isn't reducing the danger for some Louisiana residents -- we have the latest on the storm.

History was made in Phenix City last night as its first African-American mayor was voted into office. Hear from him and a newly elected member of Phenix city council.

More big speakers take the stage at the Republican National Convention including Mitt Romney's running mate, Paul Ryan. Later tonight, we talk to some folks from Columbus who are in Tampa for the festivities.

And one local high school lost its football field months ago when tornadoes touched down, but this afternoon, that turf and facility looks a lot different. We'll take you there.

Tell your friends, then join us for these stories and more tonight at 6 and 11!

See ya then,

Jason Dennis
