PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A Phoenix couple has been arrested after the boyfriend admitting to abusing his girlfriend's 5-month-old boy while the pair was on drugs, police said.

According to the report, on Aug. 27, a Phoenix librarian noticed the baby had bite marks all over his body. The library staff was familiar with the couple and her two children being at the library because they're homeless.

Malcolm Dotson told police at one point he was high on marijuana and his girlfriend, Alyssa Sjothun, was high on spice when they bit the child multiple times while they were staying at the airport.

Sjothun denied abusing the child but admitted to witnessed her boyfriend abusing him.

Dotson and Sjothun were both arrested on child abuse charges on Aug. 29.
