COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Members of the Metro Narcotics Task Force with Columbus Police are working a gambling bust in South Columbus.

Agents tell News Leader Nine that search warrants were served for two shops off South Lumpkin Road. Agents raided Cassandra's Gift Shop and Lulu's Wig Shop on Friday just after 7 p.m.

So far we are told five people have been arrested and 17 game machines have been confiscated from both businesses. Agents say this was part of an ongoing  commercial gambling investigation.

We will continue to follow this developing story.
