COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - As we remember the victims of 9/11, members of the Columbus community honored the city's first responders on Monday.
The "Golf 9/12" event was held at the Columbus Country Club to rekindle the spirit of unity that prevailed the day after the 9/11 attacks.
Former Masters champion Trevor Immelman and his brother Mark, CSU's golf coach, were at the event. They say the goal is to raise money for a new education fund for children and spouses of 911 first responders in Columbus.
Last year's event raised more than $14,000.
