Ft. Benning woman claims dog poisoned by intruders during break-in

FORT BENNING, GA (WTVM) - A Fort Benning woman came home to a surprising discovery over the weekend to find her 7-month-old Bichon Frise named Josiah suffering from poisoning.

Lisa Painter tells News Leader 9 that someone broke into her home and attacked her dog with a can of Raid. The dog Josiah later died at the animal hospital.

Painter says she wants to see justice served for the people who broke into her home, didn't steal a thing, but killed her dog.

Fort Benning military police are investigating the case. Painter has created a Facebook page called Justice For Josiah, which already has more than 1,000 Likes.
