COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -
A Columbus police officer came face-to-face with an alleged shoplifter who she claims attacked her.
Marlina Rivers pleaded not guilty Saturday afternoon in Recorder's Court.
Officers tried to stop Rivers from pulling off in her car at the Kmart on Airport Thruway. When the officer reached for the keys, Rivers reportedly threw the car into reverse, dragging the officer.
Witnesses say Rivers also tried to run over the officer. She's being held in the Muscogee County Jail.
