COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

It's a bizarre story out of Columbus.  A man refused to appear in Recorder's Court Saturday afternoon and is under suicide watch at the Muscogee County jail.

Authorities said Randy Jenkins Harmon refused to get dressed and threatened to fight them if they made him go to court.

Harmon is being held in connection with an armed robbery and kidnapping that happened on September 2, 2012 at Liberty Church on Valley Forge Road in Columbus.

Investigators testified Harmon robbed and tied up an 82 year-old man at the church and stole a vehicle.

They say he drove the truck for about 2 weeks, even took it to a meeting he had with his probation officer.  He remains in the Muscogee County Jail.
