Exclusive Preview of News at 5 & 6

Good evening, from Jason Dennis, here in the WTVM newsroom. These are some of the stories we are working on for the news at 5 and 6!

A family of four is shaken this afternoon after someone shot into their car in East Alabama. We'll explain what may have happened right before the shooting.

We're still waiting on a verdict in the murder trial of Kareem Lane, accused of the 1992 stabbing death of Muscogee Co. School superintendent Jim Burns. News Leader 9's Brittany Dionne has the latest on the so-far "deadlocked" jury, and she takes a look back over the past few weeks in court.

Polls are still open in Alabama for a special election to find millions of dollars and save the state's Medicaid budget. Hear what voters are saying today.

Tell your friends, then join us for these stories and more tonight at 5 and 6!

See ya then,

Jason Dennis
