PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) -

Two people were behind bars accused for allegedly shooting into a vehicle occupied by a family of four.

The shooting happened early Tuesday afternoon. A victim reported the crime to police at the Russell County Courthouse.

The victim told police she was in the 1500 block of 11th Avenue when the occupants of a green Nissan Altima began chasing and shooting at her SUV.

The victim told police the SUV was shot at least five times. There were no injuries reported, to the four occupants, two of whom were children.

Tarneshia Hinton, 20, and a juvenile were arrested and charged with four counts of attempted murder.

A pistol that was suspected to have been used in the crime was also confiscated.
