Convicted killer Tracey McKay wants new trial

Tracey McKay Tracey McKay
COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

A Georgia man serving a life sentence for killing a baker at a Columbus doughnut shop 23 years ago says he deserves a new trial.

Tracey McKay says his trial attorney did a poor job by ignoring witnesses who pointed to someone else as the killer of Sonny Thrash.

McKay now has a new lawyer who called numerous witnesses in court on Tuesday.

The judge has not indicated when he will rule.
