Cherokee Co. home destroyed in early morning fire

CHEROKEE COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

A Cherokee County home was destroyed in an early morning fire.

According to authorities on the scene, the fire broke out around 6:30 a.m. on County Road 3502 at County Road 3522 near Cuney.

Fire crews and EMS responded to the scene and when they arrived the house was already fully involved.

The homeowners had taken their children to school, and when they returned the house was on fire. No one was inside the home and there were no injuries.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
