September is Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month.
Each year 82,000 women are diagnosed with cancer of the reproductive organs. Because early treatment is vital, women are encouraged to schedule a regular visit with their physician.
Today, it's good to know that our area's women have local access to three highly-trained gynecologic oncologist who are working together to treat this disease. Together, Greg Sfakianos, MD; Sarah Hosford, MD; and John Currie, MD, have the skills and expertise to provide the best possible care for women right here in our community and region.
