Car thieves target spectators at football game

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

A football game in Columbus turned into a crime scene Friday night.

Columbus police report four cars were broken into and hundreds of dollars worth of items stolen. It happened on Sowega Drive in Columbus.

The break-ins happened during a football game between Calvary Christian School and Griffin Christian. Reports state someone broke out at least one window on each car, taking anything they could find.

News Leader 9 spoke with one of the victims who said her debit card was stolen and five fraudulent charges have been made at the Circle K on South Lumpkin Road.

No arrests have been made.
