Crews have re-opened a major Longview road after storms knocked down several trees and power lines Sunday evening, closing it.
Loop 281 reopened Monday afternoon around 2. But, Longview Police advise that the Tryon Road exits, both north and south of E. Loop 281 remain closed.
Longview ISD has also announced that JL Everhart Elementary, which was affected by this situation, has canceled classes for Monday because electricity has not been restored to the school yet.
Alpine Christian Academy is closed because of no electricity.
