EUFAULA, AL (WSFA) -

A group of Eufaula High School students decided to take what they learned in the classroom and put it to good use.

The high school tractor team is in a national tractor restoration competition.

The team, made up of 2 boys and 3 girls, completely restored a 1951 Massey tractor.

When the group first got the tractor, it was in shambles and many of the parts were in buckets.

Now, it is a bright red beauty.

The group put in more than 1,100 hours to complete the work, but it was more than just mechanical knowledge that they gained.

"We learned any number of things, communication, team building, as well as, the mechanical aspect," stated Colt Gifford, a senior at Eufaula High School.

They are the only team from Alabama to enter the competition.

It's in your hands to help them win.

Part of the competition included making a video.

The group with the most votes wins in that field.

If you want to see their efforts pay off, you have until October 22 to vote.
