NOONDAY, TX (KLTV) -

A Smith County home is a total loss after an early morning fire.

Just after 1:30 a.m., the fire broke out on County Road 1112, just off of FM 2661 in Noonday. When firefighters arrived on the scene, the home was fully engulfed.

"We had Noonday, Dixie, and Flint/Gresham Fire Departments responded with a box alarm and basically contained the fire to the front quarter of the house. I'll come out after daylight and start an investigation," said Smith County Assistant Fire Marshal, Oren Hale.

No injuries were reported, but the roof collapsed during the blaze.

The fire is completely out at this time.
