COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

WTVM is helping sponsor a forum this week to inform the public about a controversial charter school amendment on the November ballot.

Local leaders and representatives from our state will weigh the pros and cons of a proposed measure that could affect our charter schools.

News Leader 8's Roslyn Giles will moderate the forum this Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Columbus Public Library on Macon Road.

Participants include Muscogee County's school board chair, Cathy Williams and Georgia State Representative Ed Setzler.

The charter school forum is also presented by the Young Professionals and the greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce.
