COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

The Columbus Police Department says it is breaking up a ring of thieves targeting the Midtown area.

Police Chief Ricky Boren told News Leader 9 there have been six arrests related to crimes that took place in the Hilton Heights area within the last month.

Their latest suspect, Dontavis Tatum, is facing numerous charges including aggravated assault, armed robbery, burglary and theft.

The other arrests were made for home burglaries and car thefts.
