Exclusive Preview of News at 5 & 6

Good evening. This is Jason Dennis from the WTVM newsroom. Here's what we are working on for the news at 5 and 6:

We may soon be able to buy alcohol on Sundays in Columbus, but the people who don't support the option may surprise you.

In Tuesday's runoffs, voters elected more new faces to leadership in Phenix City. No incumbents will be back in their seats on city council. We talk to voters and one of the soon-to-be council members about all the changes.

We've learned of a big loss in our military community, as a decorated war veteran died. He was one of the main characters in the book and movie titled "We Were Soldiers." We look back at the life of Command Sergeant Major Basil Plumley.

And just because it's nice weather outside doesn't mean you can't prepare for storms. Our chief meteorologist is LIVE at Weather Radio Wednesday.

Tell your friends, then join us for these stories and more tonight at 5 and 6!

See ya then,

Jason Dennis
