Serenity Hospice holds ribbon cutting for new facility

Serenity Hospice Care held a ribbon cutting ceremony on October 11 at the new Columbus location at 2901 Warm Springs Road.

The office and staff relocated to this new facility in August 2012.

Serenity Hospice Care's Philosophy is to administer care, comfort and support to hospice patients and their families in their homes.

"Serenity serves as an advocate for patients and their families with our number one priority being quality of care and excellence in customer service," says Kari Dyer, Public Relations Liaison. "The interdisciplinary team of nurses, home health aides, social workers, volunteer coordinators, and chaplains work together to develop an individualized plan of care for each patient to enhance his or her quality of life and provide support for the patients extended family."

Serenity provides the highest quality of care for patients with life-limiting illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, lung disease, Alzheimer's, HIV and strokes.  Serenity has a nurse and doctor on call, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

Serenity Hospice services include medical equipment needed in the home, paid medications related to your disease under our services, Social Workers to assist you with insurance issues and help connect you with additional resources, Chaplain to provide you with spiritual support when needed, Volunteers to assist family with errands, patient care relief time and home management, and Home Health aides to assist with daily care such as bathing patient and light housekeeping.

"As the Administrator of Serenity Hospice Care, I am excited to see the growth of our services and business," said K.C. Seabury, Administrator. "The growths that lead to this new location are a direct reflection of the Columbus community welcoming us and experiencing the value of our services. I am proud to be part of a great hospice provider and also being a part of this community.

"Through the Chamber and other community events, our services are being shared with many in the community that need our services. We are thankful and privileged to serve Columbus residents and others in this region of Georgia."

Serenity Hospice Care opened for business in this new office in August, 2012. They have been a part of the community for more than five years and look forward to many more years ahead.

Their office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on-call service is 24/7. For more information, visit or contact the office at 706-507-7448 to learn more about volunteer opportunities available.
