Earthquake in North Georgia, no damage reported

Parts of extreme North Georgia shook from a small earthquake early Saturday, but no damage was reported.

It happened shortly after midnight near Mccaysville on the Georgia-Tennessee line.

The quake measured at 2.5 magnitudes, according to the US Geological Survey.

Police dispatchers in the area told the AJC they received a few calls from concerned residents, but none reporting any damage or injuries.
