WEBSTER PARISH, LA (KSLA) -

Louisiana State Police confirm that there is the possibility of a violation in connection with the explosion in an underground bunker at Camp Minden late Monday night.

The company that handles the explosives is called Explo Systems, Incorporated. They're not offering any comment, but KSLA News 12 has confirmed that the area that's now been sealed off has been investigated by an explosives expert.

Louisiana State Police Trooper Matt Harris says that enforcement action is pending.

The Louisiana State Police is leading the investigation into the explosion. That investigation continues.

The explosion shook homes and businesses and rattled nerves around 11:30 Monday night. Reports of the blast being felt or at least heard came in from across Northwest Louisiana and even into parts of East Texas.

Col. Ronnie Stuckey at Camp Minden says the bunker contained ordnance materials used by the military, but he declined to elaborate further, saying it's up to Explo to comment on their own. So far, they have declined to do so.

Stuckey says he expects the area will remain sealed off for weeks until they can get prices for a vendor to come in and clean up the damage.
