AUBURN, AL (WTVM) -

If you are searching for a manufacturing job, MasterBrand cabinets in Auburn wants to meet you at their job fair on Saturday.

News Leader 9 was the first to announce the addition of 125 new jobs at the cabinet company. City leaders say this economic news is even sweeter because workers are needed immediately.

MasterBrand in Auburn needs 125 more workers to make more cabinets.  The company is beginning the hiring process immediately with a job fair at their plant on Webster Road Saturday.  Workers can expect to make around $11.00 an hour.

"That's with full benefits.  These jobs fill a great niche in our market and they are having a job fair on Saturday and I would encourage anyone who wants a job to come out be prepared with your resume and ready to interview.  This is a fast process, they want to ramp up in the next few months," said Cary Cox, Auburn's Workforce Director.

From more jobs to redevelopment projects, Auburn city leaders say good economic news continues to occur. KIA announced by Spring of next year it will open a multi-million dollar dealership and service center along College Street where Dyas and Lynch Nissan used to be.

"They are a brand new dealership,  brand new to this market with a brand new facility. They are investing $4.6 million to build it and it will be their flagship Alabama store," said Megan McGowen of Auburn's Economic Development team.

On the other side of town, the old Rex building next to the movie theater is getting a $1.4 million facelift to make way for an Ace Hardware to open in February.

The MasterBrand job fair starts Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. central time and ends at four that afternoon. It will be held at the facility on Webster Road in Auburn. Interested workers need to bring a resume and be prepared to interview that day.
