COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus celebrated the opening of a state of the art car dealership Thursday.
The new Kia dealership in Columbus Park Crossing will be supplied by the plant located up in West Point Georgia, keeping more jobs in the area.
The dealership is trying to save money and help the environment at the same time. They will debut a cutting-edge lighting system designed to reduce their electricity consumption. They also have solar-tinted windows, letting them generate power themselves throughout the day.
Kia's mantra is "built by our community, for our community." West Georgia is really buying into the idea, featuring Georgia's only Kia manufacturing plant and a growing number of dealerships.
