Operation Christmas Child is coming up soon! Take a moment to fill a shoe box with toys, school supplies and necessity items for impoverished children around the world.

The local goal is to send 15,500 gift-filled shoe boxes around the world this Christmas season. Collection week is Nov. 12 through 19.

The following churches and locations are collecting boxes that week:

* Lakewood Baptist, Phenix City

* Auburn United Methodist

* Bethesda Baptist, Ellerslie

* Columbus State University Baptist Student Union

* SouthPoint Church, Eufaula

* Lafayette Christian School, LaGrange

* Roanoke United Methodist Church

* West End Baptist Church, Valley
