Braves Tim Hudson hopes to hit it out of Plainsman Park

Posted: Updated:
AUBURN, AL (WTVM) -

Families are invited out to Plainsman Park Friday night for a Home Run Derby to support the Hudson Family Foundation. Headlining the event will be current Atlanta Braves Tim Hudson and Kris Medlen plus Auburn favorite Gabe Gross.

Joining Hudson and Medlen on the pitching team will be current Toronto Blue Jay reliever and former Auburn hurler Evan Crawford, Chris Bootcheck, who was a first-round pick out of Auburn in 2000 and played six years in the big leagues, and Matt Guerrier, a current reliever for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

A minimum $2 donation is requested at the gate, with all proceeds going to the Hudson Family Foundation, which is partnering with the Auburn baseball team for a second straight year.
Chance-to-win tickets will be issued to individuals based on every $5 donated.

You could win Dierks Bentley concert tickets, under armor gear and golf passes to RTJ.

Kim Hudson told News Leader 9, 100 percent of the proceeds will go towards her families foundation to help local families in our area.
