FORT BENNING, GA (WTVM) -

Fort Benning residents will observe Halloween on Wednesday, Oct. 31, with trick-or-treating from 6 to 8 p.m.

Post residents are encouraged to limit trick-or-treating to the housing area where they live. Children younger than 13 years old are allowed to trick-or-treat.

Trick-or-treaters should observe all basic safety precautions to include wearing reflective, fire-resistant costumes that are short enough to prevent tripping, using makeup instead of masks that restrict vision, carrying a flashlight and using caution when crossing streets.

Pet owners should ensure their pets are confined to prevent them from being a nuisance.
