TEMPE, AZ (CBS5) -

Halloween is a night filled with young kids trick-or-treating and the older kids having fun at parties and police across the Valley want to make sure everyone stays safe so they are participating in the DUI Task Force.

The Governor's Office of Highway Safety is running a special DUI patrol Thursday through Saturday night.

Tempe, Mesa and Scottsdale police will be out with the highway patrols.

Police units plan to be highly visible in Valley neighborhoods and on city streets.

The goals of the DUI Task Force will be to target underage drinking and to keep drivers from driving under the influence.
