COBB COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

Lines are expected to only get longer as early voting ends Friday.

After Friday, voters' next opportunity to cast their ballots will be Election Day, Tuesday.

One benefit to voting early is that people are not limited to only their precincts.

"If they have a line at their location they can look for another place that maybe doesn't have as long a line or just be prepared wait," said Janine Eveler, director of Cobb County's Elections and Registration. There are nine early voting locations available in Cobb County.

Johnetta Holcomb said she was prepared to wait when she went to the Cobb County Government Center on Lower Roswell Road.

"I spent about an hour outside and about 30 minutes inside. I didn't hear any complaints, nothing. Seamless," said Holcomb.

Peggy Gilley voted at Cobb County's main election office on Whitlock Avenue.

"I came prepared because I go by here every day and the lines have been incredibly long. Today I just took a chance and it was just being in the right place at the right time," said Gilley. "It was an awesome experience. I got here around 9:25 a.m. and I was in and out in about 22 minutes.

If you wait to vote until Election Day, you may not face any long lines, since there will be more polling sites available.

DeKalb and Fulton counties aren't reporting long lines, even at early voting.
