COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

The Valley Rescue Mission in Columbus is in need of hams and turkeys for Thanksgiving dinners.

Each year the Mission serves meals in its dining hall to the homeless and less fortunate and delivers meals to the elderly and shut-ins. Your help donating a ham or turkey would be greatly appreciated.

Volunteers are also needed to assist in serving the meals, which takes place outdoors under a large tent on the grounds.

The Mission anticipates serving approximately 800 meals this year.

If you have a ham or turkey you can donate please take it to the Valley Rescue Mission on 2nd Avenue, Columbus, GA 31904. For more information call (706) 322-8267.
