ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Family members are devastated after a 2-year-old and 1-year-old were shot at their southwest Atlanta home, one fatally.

Ty-Teyanna Motley, 2, died shortly after the 1 a.m. shooting on Saturday. Her brother, Isaiah, is recovering after surgery at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.

Family members believe their home may have been wrongfully targeted. The victim's aunt, Lashunda Woods, said they had moved into the home about one month ago.

Charlie Howard, the victims' uncle, said a man came to the door shortly before the shooting, asking for someone else.

"The dude came to the house asking for somebody's name, then my brother said that person didn't stay there," Howard said. "My brother said when he got to the kitchen, he heard three shots."

Woods said the family is devastated.

"That was my niece, they took my niece away from," she sobbed outside the home on Polar Rock Place. "We thought they were all going to grow up together and be happy."

Now Ty-Teyanna's father Antoine Shepard wants answers.

"I don't know what's going on, what's going to happen but we want some justice," Shepard said.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact homicide investigators at 404-546-4235 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.
