WILLS POINT, TX (KLTV) -

Officials have confirmed the body found in a box on Tuesday in Van Zandt County is that of 16-year-old Alicia Chanta Moore. The Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office identified the body on Wednesday.

Moore was reported missing on Friday, Nov. 2. She was last seen getting off a school bus in Greenville.

A road crew found the teen's body on FM 47 north of Wills Point. Van Zandt County Sheriff Pat Burnett says Moore was found in a box-style trunk.

Texas Rangers are investigating this case.

Police have not said if they have any suspects.

Moore's family was informed on Tuesday that a body was found but there was no positive identification at that time.

No arrests have been made in connection with Moore's death at this time.
