School canceled in Marion County due to water main break

Posted: Updated:
MARION COUNTY, GA (WTVM) -

News Leader 9 learned that three Marion County schools will be canceled Wednesday.  School Superintendent Richard McCorkle tells us that a water main line bust, and there is no water coming in to the schools.

He tells us that the line is not in the school, but it is a pipe that feeds water to it.  They believe the issue will be fixed by lunchtime.

Employees should still report to school at 8 a.m., but students are not to come to class.

The impacted schools are Marion County Middle School, Marion County High School and LK Moss Elementary.
