DENHAM SPRINGS, LA (WAFB) -

The Denham Springs Marshal Office has instituted a temporary program to allow anyone with an outstanding warrant to pay their fines and avoid being arrested.

The amnesty program, which runs for 35 days, only applies to warrants issued by the City Court of Denham Springs.

Marshal Jerry Denton says defendants will be able to pay their fines and court costs to avoid arrest, and in most cases, pay a $35 bond fee for a new court date.

Outstanding fines can be paid on the marshal's website, by phone at 1-800-701-8560, or in person at the Denham Springs Marshal Office at 398 Mayor Herbert Ave.
