PLAQUEMINE, LA (WAFB) -
Police continue to investigate a shooting that happened in Plaquemine, LA around
1 p.m. Wednesday in the 23000 block of Cypress.
Police say Wilbert Myles, 17, and Cordias Walker, 22,
were arguing over drugs when Walker shot Myles three times in the chest and
once in the neck. Myles was airlifted to the hospital where he was pronounced

Detectives say Walker called 911 confessing to the shooting,
saying he had to shoot Myles because Myles had a weapon pointed at him. Police
have not confirmed that Myles had a gun with him when the shooting happened.
When Plaquemine Police arrived, they say Walker came out with
his hands in the air, ready to go with the officers.
Walker is in custody and is facing a charge of second degree
