Fire at Apartment Building Leaves Families Homeless

Some Phenix City families are out in the cold tonight after fire destroys several apartment units.  It happened at the Dolphin Drive Duplex off of Opelika Road.  We have crews on the scene and will bring you the latest on what officials are saying about what may have caused the fire and who's helping the displaced families.

Fire Destroys Home in Coca Lake

A Harris County family is also without a home tonight after fire races through their Cataula home in the Coca Lake Subdivision.  We'll let you know if any other homes were damaged and if the fire caused any injuries.

Maya Angelou on the Plains

She's performed for presidents and tonight she's speaking to folks in East Alabama.  One of the nation's foremost poet laureates visited Auburn University tonight.  We'll take you there as Maya Angelou appeared before a packed crowd.
