MONTGOMERY, AL -

It's another sign of progress for Auburn Montgomery's new residence hall.  Students received the chance to shape how the inside of Warhawk Hall will look once it opens next Fall.

"This is really the first day we rolled this out for our students," said Daryl Morris, Director of Residential Housing.  "This is what we call the programming part of the building."

Students were able to select furniture styles and carpet and paneling designs.  They welcomed the chance to have a say in the process.

"I actually think that's one of the high points," said Karlen McCree, a Senior.  "If you really didn't hear what the students want, and then they just upped and pick something, they'll come in and may not want to stay.  I don't like this carpet, I'm out."

Warhawk Hall will house 293 beds when it opens.  The new building is five stories tall, and will reach 140,000 sq. ft.  University officials hope to give students a peek inside the building in the Spring.
