ROCK HILL, SC (WBTV) -

Dr. Ronal King started feeding people a Thanksgiving meal 40 years ago. Since then, his organization, "Feed the Hungry" has grown into a group that feeds more than 50,000 people in dozens of counties in North and South Carolina.

This year though, he says the money is short for the upcoming holiday meal.

Last Friday, his group picked up 200 frozen turkeys but there are more than 2,300 that he doesn't have the funds to pay for.

Without the rest of the turkeys, Dr. King says he can hardly make a dent in feeding those who need it the most.

He's asking for monetary donations to his organization to help cover the cost.

If you're interested in helping, you can send checks to "Feed The Hungry" P.O. Box 10042 Rock Hill, SC 29731.
