HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Investigators found headphones at the scene of Friday's fatal pedestrian-train accident near Lee High School.

Madison County Coroner Craig Whisenant said that probably explains why Lee freshman Dylan Jones didn't hear the train's whistle blowing down the tracks.

The conductor said he couldn't stop in time and hit Dylan.

Dylan was buried on Tuesday.

Flags at Lee flew at half-staff, and counselors were available to console students.
