FORT BENNING, GA (WTVM) -
A Fort Benning soldier was arrested and charged with attempted rape and sexual battery.
Juan Cerda, 33, is accused of attacking a woman at the Willow Creek apartments on October 17. The victim was not injured in the attack.
Cerda was arrested Wednesday afternoon on post and is being held in the Muscogee County Jail without bond. He will appear in Recorder's Court Thursday morning.
