CHILTON COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

The Chilton County Sheriff's Office says that an investigator will be fine after an altercation with a suspect Thursday afternoon.

The sheriff's office says that investigators were on an unrelated assignment around 12:30 p.m. Thursday when they witnessed two men running in and out of the woods near Highway 155 in the northern part of the county.

The investigators followed and found the two suspects sitting behind a tree. They were questioning the two suspects when they say one of the men punched an investigator and started a fight before the two suspects fled.

One of the men, Darius Garrison, was captured a couple of hours later. He has been charged with attempting to elude.

The other suspect is still at large. Deputies say that Zackery Westbrook has outstanding warrants for other counties. When he is apprehended, Chilton County authorities expect to charge him with felony assault of a police officer.

Authorities describe Westbrook as 5' 11" and weighs 150 pounds. THey also say he has "long hair."
