MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

The WSFA 12 Weather team has concluded its weather radio tour of six cities in our community, and it was a big success!

Over the past six weeks, we've traveled to Demopolis, Luverne, Tuskegee, Camden, Hayneville and Union Springs, and the turnout was great on each visit.

During our Thursday weather tours, hundreds of viewers showed up to purchase or have their weather radio programmed.

When the final radio walked out the door, we'd programmed a grand total of 1,247 machines. That's an average of 51 radios per hour, or around 1 per minute! You kept our crew busy, and we are very grateful.

Thank you to each and every person who came out, had their photos taken, shared stories and most importantly, heeded the warnings to be prepared for severe weather.

We'll have another tour soon, so stay tuned!
