COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Thanksgiving Day is next week, and Valley Rescue Mission is getting prepared for the annual Great Thanksgiving Banquet.
Valley Rescue Mission will host its annual Great Thanksgiving Banquet, beginning with chapel services at 11 a.m., followed with the banquet under a tent in the parking lot at noon on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, November 22.
The meal will include dressing, turkey, English peas, gravy, rolls, and assorted beverages.
Valley Rescue Mission's intent is to have a special "feel good" uplifting day for the homeless and the needy by providing exciting and upbeat entertainment. It is our most humble prayer that the Great Thanksgiving Banquet be an example of following the teachings of Jesus when He said, When you give a banquet invite the poor. (Luke 14:23)
If you are elderly or shut-in, please call 706-322-8267 before noon on November 21 to schedule meal delivery.
The event will be held at 2903 2nd Avenue in Columbus. For more information call (706) 322-8267.
