Phoenix police are looking for a 48-year-old man who was last in contact with his family Oct. 18.

Raymond Wayne Strong typically contacts family members the first of each month for a monthly stipend, but has failed to call or visit his family since Oct. 18, according to police.

The family is new to Arizona, and Strong moved to the area in December, according to his sister, Celestine Strong. She said he has several mental disabilities, has been without his medications for more than a month and does not know how to drive.

In the past, he has gone to a CASS homeless shelter and played cards and dominoes, she said.

Raymond Strong is described as black, 5'3" tall, 240 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen with a full beard and mustache and has a scar on his right wrist and fingers.

Anyone having information regarding this case is asked to contact the Phoenix Police Department Missing Persons Unit at 602-534-2121 (after hours at 602-262-6141) or email phoenix.tips.ppd@phoenix.gov
