COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

The man accused of endangering his 6-year-old daughter during a high speed police chase remains in jail.

Dameion Givens, 33, was in Recorder's Court Tuesday morning, and the judge gave him close to a $4,000 bond.

He is being charged with DUii and endangering a child, after police say givens refused to pull over during a routine checkpoint at Cusseta Road and South Oakview Road in Columbus over the weekend. 

Givens' 6-year-old was in the car and was not buckled up, said police, when he tried to elude officers.
